Rockwell Typeface Specimen Poster

concepts (left) and final poster (right)
In this poster, I was assigned in my Typography Class to highlight a typeface's full alphabet, numbers, strengths, and past. Rockwell, a typeface originating in 1934 and popularized in the 1950s, was a eye-opening exploration of the realms of vintage aesthetics and enduring design appeal. Drawing inspiration from classic Americana and mid-century graphic styles, I embraced a vibrant palette of red and yellow, as well as utilizing the tactile qualities within print and paper textures. With the inclusion of stars, I hoped to add hints of retro advertising to the composition. By blending these elements, the poster should evoke a sense of nostalgia and warmth, identifying with the timeless charm of the Rockwell typeface.
